We regularly develop and deliver customized sensors for test bench applications. Under the specific application conditions we often achieve higher accuracy than conventional sensors. Linearity below 0.2% and repeatability below 0.05% are regularly obtained. We simply love challenges, which is clearly demonstrated by some of our engagements:

• Test benches for helicopter and airplane gears with a very high number of rotations exposed to extreme load collectives
• Test benches for sensors where the measurement point is placed in oil or the shaft is lubricated (e.g. components test benches for gears)
• Test benches for sensor areas where splash water and dirt can not be avoided (e.g. test benches for impact wrenches)

The following drawing shows the bearing block that we have developed together with Thyssen Krupp System Engineering and SNR. Thanks to the technical advantages of the NCTE solution the sensor becomes a consistent part of the bearing block and is thus fully integrated in the test bench.

The advantages of our concept are obvious: next to the quick installation the sensor does not require additional installation space. There is no need of additional couplings or other connecting elements either. We should add here the specific advantages of the NCTE technology:

• totally contactless
• resistant sensor system, robust against media such as oil, water and dirt
• maximal efficiency of the measurement area, unaffected by torque peaks
• resistant against bend swinging and lateral forces
• compensation of axial movements of the shaft
